If you already dance well and want to teach, we can use part of the camp to prepare you: explaining steps, giving corrections and structuring a class.

Learn with Fraimy.
Fraimy Pérez is a Dominican dance instructor based in Cabarete. Since 2019 he has taught 100% traditional Dominican bachata with a clear, practical focus on technique, musicality and flow. He also teaches salsa and merengue, so you can broaden your repertoire while keeping a strong rhythmic foundation. His specialty is traditional bachata: he does not teach sensual or modern bachata. Lessons are private and take place in Cabarete, at an agreed meeting point or, when possible, at your accommodation. Classes are available in Spanish, English and German.

Every lesson starts with your goals and current level. Fraimy watches how you step, keep time and connect with your partner or the music, then breaks the work into clear ideas you can repeat and understand. You practise posture, the basic step, footwork, weight changes, connection and flow, with pauses for corrections before dancing it again. Start from scratch, refine one detail or prepare to teach if you already dance well and want to learn how to explain steps, give corrections and structure a class.

We are in Cabarete, on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. We agree on the meeting point and any travel arrangements when you book.

No. We can begin with the basic step, posture and rhythm. Practice is adapted to your level; everyone learns at their own pace.
Can I come without a partner?
Yes. The solo private lesson is for one person and you do not need to bring a partner. If you are coming with someone, you can choose the couples lesson.
Are group classes open to anyone?
No. They are private lessons for your own family or group of friends. You book an exclusive session, and we agree on a time and price based on the number of people.
How much does a lesson cost?
A solo private lesson costs 2,500 DOP per person per hour. A couples lesson costs 3,500 DOP per hour for both people. Three-hour packages cost 6,000 DOP for one person and 9,000 DOP per couple. Confirm the total and any travel costs before booking.
Where will the lesson take place?
We agree on a meeting point in Cabarete over WhatsApp. For a lesson at your accommodation, ask about a suitable space, availability and any travel costs.
How do I confirm my booking and pay?
Send us your date, level and number of people on WhatsApp. Your booking is confirmed once we agree on the details with you. Pay in cash at the start of your lesson; if paying in US dollars, confirm the amount beforehand.
What languages do you teach in?
We offer Spanish, English and German. Tell us your preferred language when asking about availability.
What if my plans change or it rains?
Let us know as soon as possible. Ask about the change and cancellation terms for your booking before confirming. For outdoor lessons, ask about a covered alternative in case of rain.
