Authentic Sancocho
Sancocho is the Dominican national dish — a seven-meat stew with root vegetables, slow-cooked over a wood fire. Eating it with a local family or at a neighborhood restaurant is a genuine cultural experience that no resort buffet can replicate.
River Tubing
A two-hour guided float on the Río Yásica, just south of Cabarete. Lush vegetation, cool clear water, natural canyon sections, and occasional light rapids. An adventure that feels completely different from the beach scene.
Colmado Evening
End the day at a neighborhood colmado — the Dominican corner store that becomes a social gathering spot in the evening. Cold beer, domino games, music, local conversation. The most authentic slice of Dominican daily life.

Morning Bachata Lesson
One to two hours of private bachata instruction at a local studio space or beach location. Beginners start from zero; returning students continue where they left off.
11:30 – 13:00
Sancocho Lunch
Authentic Dominican sancocho with a local family or at a neighborhood restaurant. Slow-cooked, shared, eaten like Dominicans eat it — with conversation, cold juice, and no hurry.
14:00 – 16:30
River Tubing on Río Yásica
Transfer to the Río Yásica (15 minutes from Cabarete) for a two-hour guided tubing experience through one of the most beautiful river landscapes on the north coast.
17:30 – 19:00
Colmado Evening
Wind down at a neighborhood colmado. Cold Presidente, domino games, bachata on the speakers, and the kind of easy Dominican evening energy that you'll be trying to explain to people back home for months.

The immersion runs every day of the week. Demand is highest on Saturdays (when the colmado evening naturally flows into the Arena Sol night), but any day of the week works for the full experience.
